In the first quarter of 2025, the performance of leading carpooling and ridesharing apps in France showcased varying trends in downloads and user engagement. This analysis, based on Sensor Tower data, highlights key metrics from these popular platforms.

Bolt: Request a Ride saw a fluctuating pattern in weekly downloads, starting the quarter at approximately 72K and dipping to around 42K mid-quarter before rebounding to 56K by the end of March. Active users followed a similar trend, beginning at 964K, experiencing a dip, and then rising to 900K towards the quarter's end.

Uber - Request a ride showed a steady decline in weekly downloads from 63K to 41K, with a slight recovery to 51K by the end of March. The app’s active users started at 1.98M, saw fluctuations throughout, and ended on a high note with 1.92M.

BlaBlaCar: Carpooling and Bus had consistent weekly downloads, peaking at 24K in late January and again at the end of March. Weekly active users began at 1.47M, dipped slightly mid-quarter, and climbed back to 1.38M by March.

Heetch - Ride-Hailing App 24/7 experienced a decline in downloads from 20K to 12K, with a slight recovery to 16K at the quarter's end. Active users showed a rising trend, starting at 230K and peaking at 251K in early February.

Finally, Uber - Driver: Drive & Deliver downloads started at 18K, decreased to 10K mid-quarter, and slightly increased to 12K by March. Active users began at 167K, faced a downward trend, and settled at 127K by the end of the quarter.
